After looking at different prints of cotton K/1E made their own pictures using crayons, brown paper and cotton balls.
They did a fantastic job and they looked so effective.
As our Community Event for 2016 we decided to tackle the problem of "Clothing Waste" head on and do our small piece by setting up a Clothing Swap in our School Hall.
What is a " Clothing Swap" a clothing swap allows people to bring good quality clothing to a venue where they can make a swap . There is no cost, you can bring up to ten items of quality clothing, shoes, accessories or handbags to swap .
We set the date, sent out the flyers and hoped that it would be a success.
Keep posted to see our Gwynneville Public Schools Clothing Swap............
One of the activities that we have been doing with years 5 and 6 is finger knitting. We sourced our COTTON from local SALVOS Stores.
Later in the term we will be holding an Agriculture Day where the senior students will be teaching Finger knitting as one of the rotations.
